The Unnamed Footage Festival’s annual virtual festival returns, officially beginning this weekend on the cursed evening of Friday the 13th at 8PM ET / 5PM PT. The stream, which goes live an hour early with a pre-show, will feature 17 found footage horror, first person POV, and faux documentary feature films, over a dozen short films, and a wraparound of original never-before-seen and never-to-be-seen-again footage sourced for the festival. #UFF24HR24’s lineup features a tantalizing variety of in-world camera films, including world premieres, repertory screenings, and secret screenings with many filmmakers in attendance, answering questions and giving behind-the-scenes info in the livechat accompanying the stream.

The live streamed film festival, which must be watched live and cannot be replayed, rewound, or fast forwarded, is presented by the definitely-not-fake festival sponsor, Forever University. Forever University Online will not only host the festival, but will showcase educational sessions from their esteemed faculty of found footage horror filmmakers. For more information on Forever University (and to purchase access to the event), please visit https://foreveruniversity.online/. And since this is the 2024 edition of the 24 hour festival, UFF has lowered the ticket price to only $24!

Following its fantastic reception during last year’s UFF24HR, Quiz or Die returns! Quiz or Die is UFF’s home-brewed quiz show in which guests identify films based on 30-second clips or die trying. Hosted by UFFY, the Unnamed Footage Festival’s loveable floppy disc mascot, Quiz or Die gives an unforgettable introduction to a wide range of Found Footage filmmakers, and features hundreds of films.

The festival will also showcase several premieres, including the world premiere of David M. Dawson’s LEECH. Exploring the phenomenon of virtual “Lolcows,” LEECH follows the downward spiral of “Dark Lord” (Jordan Acosta), a hapless streamer who forfeits his dignity in an attempt to earn internet stardom. Additional premieres include FLOYD, a drug-filled road movie from New Zealand; THE MURDER OF THE MONSTER, the latest from the Horror Dadz collective; and Tristan Reed’s debut feature, THE DEPTHS, a thrilling meta-slasher that dissects classic horror tropes.

In 2021, after hosting three years of in-person fests, The Unnamed Footage Festival launched UFF24HR, the world’s first 24-hour livestream film festival celebrating all things found footage. The Unnamed Footage Festival has returned to its original in–person format, but we’ve continued to host the virtual fest annually as well.
