Holiday Horror Unleashed: Shudder Premiere & NYC Screenings of 'THE SACRIFICE GAME'


Get ready for a chilling holiday season as director Jenn Wexler invites you to witness the nightmare unfold in her latest film, "THE SACRIFICE GAME." Starring a talented ensemble cast, including Mena Massoud, Olivia Scott Welch, Chloë Levine, Madison Baines, Georgia Acken, and Gus Kenworthy, this horror-thriller promises a deadly twist just in time for Christmas.


The setting is the Blackvale School for Girls in 1971, where students Samantha (Madison Baines) and Clara (Georgia Acken) find themselves unable to return home for the holidays. As if that weren't bleak enough, the atmosphere takes a sinister turn when a group of cult killers descends upon the school, setting the stage for a deadly game of survival.

Jenn Wexler, known for her directorial debut "The Ranger," brings her unique vision to "THE SACRIFICE GAME." Having previously showcased her talents at prestigious festivals like SXSW and Fantasia International Film Festival, Wexler is no stranger to the world of horror. Her experience extends beyond film, with notable directorial credits for The CW's Pandora and TruTV's Late Night Snack.

New Yorkers can mark their calendars for the "Shudder Showcase" series screening on Tuesday, December 5, at 7:00 pm at the IFC Center (323 6th Ave, New York, NY 10014). This screening is part of the Shudder Showcase series, ensuring that horror enthusiasts in the Big Apple get an early glimpse into the holiday horrors that await.
