The Queen Mary recently captivated fans with a series of thrilling announcements for the upcoming spooky season. The highlight of the event was the long-awaited reopening of the ship's most notoriously haunted cabin, Stateroom B340, which left attendees eagerly anticipating a chance to experience the supernatural for themselves.

Widely regarded as one of the “Top 10 most haunted places on Earth” by Time Magazine, the Queen Mary is set to welcome thrill-seekers and paranormal enthusiasts back to Stateroom B340 starting Friday, September 13th. This famously haunted room has been closed for over 30 years but briefly reopened in 2018 before shutting down again during the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, for the first time since early 2020, guests will have the unique opportunity to spend the night in what is often described as the epicenter of the ship’s paranormal activity.

"Several of the cabins onboard the Queen Mary are considered haunted. But the stateroom with the most famous reputation is room B340," shared Steve Caloca, Managing Director of the Queen Mary. "We are thrilled to offer this unique and spine-chilling experience to our guests once again, with the first overnight guest welcomed back on Friday the 13th."

Stateroom B340 is known for its numerous reports of paranormal activity, with stories dating back to the ship's final ocean voyage in 1967. Guests have long reported strange occurrences, such as mysterious knocking on the door in the middle of the night, lights turning on and off by themselves, and unexplained movements of bathroom and closet doors.

In addition to the reopening of Stateroom B340, the Queen Mary will host a Spooktacular Bazaar and Double-Feature Movie Night on Friday, September 13th. This event, priced at $10 per person, will take place near the ship at the Harry Bridges Memorial Park and feature Halloween classics such as The Nightmare Before Christmas (7 PM) and Labyrinth (9 PM). Attendees can immerse themselves in the Halloween spirit with spooky pop-up shops, a fall market, delicious eats from local chefs and food trucks, a beer garden, live music, and more. For those seeking an enhanced experience, the Ultimate Movie Package is available for $250, including four tickets, a Queen Mary blanket, movie snacks, a bottle of Queen Mary Champagne or four sodas, and a spooktacular surprise.

The Queen Mary is also introducing a Spooky Speakeasy experience on September 19th and 26th, priced at $55 per person. This special engagement, for those 21 and older, includes four drinks and features haunting stories of the Queen Mary's most famous apparitions, each paired with a specialty beverage inspired by the specific spirit.

Additionally, an all-new paranormal ship walk titled "The Forgotten Stories" promises to delve into the lesser-known hauntings and paranormal phenomena aboard the Queen Mary. More details about the tour and speakeasy will be released soon.
