In the second season of REGINALD THE VAMPIRE, Reginald Andres (Jacob Batalon) finally got his life together - when he was turned into a vampire. While he doesn't fit into the stereotypical expectations of what a vampire looks like - he's not chiseled or classically handsome - Reginald has found his place amongst an unlikely cohort that includes the cool vampire who sired him, the former vampire chieftain turned unexpected ally (or is she?), and his co-worker/former girlfriend.

For the new season, Creepy Kingdom's Shannon McGrew spoke with actor Em Haine, who plays the human Sarah Kinney, Reginald's ex-girlfriend. During their chat, they discussed everything from how Sarah's new haircut signifies personal growth, wielding a real steel sword, and more.

Thank you so much for speaking with me today, Em! At the start of S2, Sarah is rocking a new haircut, which typically indicates a big change has taken place for women. What has Sarah been up to since we last saw her?

Em Haine: She's back at The Slushy Shack, really logging in those hours you know? [Laughs]. New haircut, like you said. She's ready for boundaries and has some of her own stuff going on. But when you work with your ex, it's a little complicated.

Last season, we learned a little bit about a group called The Enlightened that Sarah used to belong to. Will we learn more about them this season?

Em Haine: That's a great question! We definitely will. There are full-blown angels in S2, which I'm so excited about. Garfield Wilson ("Balestro") and Max Montesi ("Uriel") are phenomenal and I'm so excited for people to see their characters debut.

Speaking of Max Montesi, Sarah interacts with his character, Uriel, at the start of the first episode. Will we see how that interaction unravels this season?

Em Haine: I think one of the log lines or maybe a press talking point is how Sarah and Uriel are becoming besties and their peculiar exchange. It was hard to keep a straight face acting with him at the beginning. I don't want to say too much, but his interaction with this mortal realm is great.

Lastly, what are you most excited for fans to experience this season with your character, and/or what's been your favorite moment of the new season?

Em Haine: I don't know if you've seen the poster, but I got a whole sword! [Laughs]. It wasn't a foam sword. It was a steel sword that felt really good in my hands. With the hair change, I think we were almost trying to give a Joan of Arc vibe, so that's one of my favorite moments.
