Cinespia Announces October Halloween Screenings in Los Angeles

Cinespia, LA’s favorite cinematic experience presented by Amazon Studios, today announced their screening lineup for the month of October including The Thing (10/15) and Carrie (10/22) at Hollywood Forever along with Bram Stoker’s Dracula (10/29) at the Los Angeles Theatre to close out their 2022 season.

“As our summer season comes to a close, we’re looking forward to celebrating the month of October and the Halloween holiday with some of everyone’s favorite spooky season films,” said Cinespia Founder John Wyatt.

Saturday, October 15th - The Thing at Hollywood Forever Cemetery. 40th Anniversary! Spew don’t know horror until you've seen John Carpenter engrossing masterwork of creature makeup, unbelievable practical effects, and blood-boiling suspense. It’s morphin' time when a gritty young thing wreaks horror and havoc on all who cross its path. A shapeshifting alien is oozin' for a bruisin' when it overtakes a research site in Antarctica. Can a squad of scientists (including Kurt Russell) fight off madness and mayhem before the Thing overtakes them one at a time? Have a blast with DJ sets before and after the film. Celebrate fire and ice with delicious sizzling goodies from our grill, and plenty to enjoy from our curated bar. Leave the impostor syndrome at home: you’re the real thing in our Free Photobooth.

Saturday, October 22nd - Carrie at Hollywood Forever Cemetery. School is cruel for sensitive student Sissy Spacek in one of the best horror films ever, period! Taunted by classmates, high schooler Carrie deals how she knows best: telekinetically. It's fight and ignite when prom becomes a battleground between the tiffed teen and her bullies. Will Carrie have the romantic time of her life? You know she won't, but at least she makes the night burn bright. Have buckets of fun with DJ sets before and after the film. Pack a picnic with beer and wine, or let us provide the drinks. Enjoy popcorn and candy treats from our Concessions Stand, or gnosh on nachos, hotdogs, and freshly grilled burgers. Cinespia is partnering with the "Final Girl" of fast food, Jack in the Box just in time for the screening of Carrie before they put a cult-favorite menu item back in the grave. Saturday, October 29th - Bram Stoker’s Dracula at the Los Angeles Theatre. 30th Anniversary of Francis Ford Coppola’s lavish and ravishing vampire spectacle. It’s undying love at first bite when wicked Count Dracula (Gary Oldman) lusts for an enchanting woman (Winona Ryder) who strikes an uncanny resemblance to his long-lost love. Will he ruthlessly dupe darling Jonathan (Keanu Reeves) to make Mina queen of the damned with one bite? A gothic wonderland electrifies the Los Angeles Theatre with sensuous charms from the tops of the chandeliers to the splendors of the exquisite ballroom. Rapturous DJ sets adorn the night and our full bars will satisfy your heart's desires. What began with a screening of Strangers on a Train for a few hundred people has become a Los Angeles institution, hosting hundreds of thousands of moviegoers on the famed Fairbanks Lawn. Now the most popular outdoor cinema event in Southern California, Cinespia is celebrated by fans and filmmakers for hosting a relaxed, off-beat experience. Founded in 1899, the Hollywood Forever Cemetery—formerly known as the Hollywood Memorial Park—houses the remains of some of the film industry’s most iconic stars, including Rudolph Valentino, Mickey Rooney, Douglas Fairbanks, Nelson Eddy, Peter Lorre, Janet Gaynor, Tyrone Power, Clifton Webb, and many more.
